BONELESS SHAD
 

1 (4 lb.) shad
Salt & pepper
Melted butter
Crisco

Clean shad and rub melted butter inside and outside. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Thoroughly grease a brown paper bag inside and outside with Crisco. Fold ends of bag to make a tight seal. Pin ends. Grease outside of paper. Place in a roasting pan (covered). Bake at 250 degrees for 6 hours. Bones will disintegrate.
