1 lb. ground beef 1 med. onion, chopped 16 oz. spaghetti sauce 6 oz. Mozzarella cheese, sliced POPOVER BATTER: 2 eggs, beaten 1 c. milk 1 tbsp. oil 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt TOPPING: 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese Brown meat and onion. Combine with sauce and simmer 12 minutes. Spoon meat sauce into a greased 13 x 9 1/2 x 2 inch baking pan and top with Mozzarella cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Combine eggs, milk and oil in small bowl; add flour and salt, mixing well. Yield is about 2 cups. Remove meat mixture from oven; pour popover batter over top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for an additional 30 minutes. |
