BRATWURST IN BEER
 

1 c. beer
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. dried minced garlic
Few dashes Tabasco sauce
1 (8 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained
4 fully cooked bratwurst
4 frankfurter buns, toasted

In microwave casserole, combine beer, cornstarch, Worcestershire, sugar, garlic and Tabasco. Microwave, uncovered, on High for 4-6 minutes, stirring every minute.

Stir in sauerkraut. Cut diagonal slits 1 inch apart in bratwurst. Place bratwurst in sauerkraut. Cover with plastic wrap. Cook on medium high 10 minutes, rearranging bratwurst once. Meanwhile, toast buns. Place sauerkraut and bratwurst on buns. Serves 4.
