SPAGHETTI PIE
 

6 oz. spaghetti, cooked
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs, well beaten
1 recipe meat filling
1 c. cottage cheese
1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese (2 oz.)

Combine first 4 ingredients. Press into a buttered 10 inch pie pan. Spread cottage cheese over crust, then meat filing. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese and bake until cheese melts, 5 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. Serves 6.

MEAT FILLING:

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. green pepper
8 oz. can tomatoes, undrained and cut up
6 oz. can tomato paste
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
1/2 tsp. garlic salt

Brown beef with onions and green pepper; drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano, and garlic salt. Heat through.
