CHERRY PRESERVES
 

2 (16 oz.) cans tart cherries
3 c. sugar
Juice of 1/2 lemon

Combine cherries, sugar, and lemon juice; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and gently boil until syrup slightly thickens, about 30 to 45 minutes. Cool slightly and pour into sterilized jars and seal. Makes 1 1/2 pints.
