RUSSIAN CREAM: 1 c. plus 3 tbsp. heavy cream 1/2 c. sugar 1 env. plain gelatin 1/2 pt. sour cream 1/2 tsp. vanilla Mix cream, sugar and gelatin in saucepan, heat until gelatin is dissolved cool until slightly thickened. Fold in sour cream and vanilla. Whisk until smooth. Pour into serving bowl or a 3 cup mold. Cover and chill at least 4 hours. To unmold dip container in hot water for 5 seconds, invert and surround with marinated strawberries. STRAWBERRIES ROMANOFF: 4 c. fresh strawberries 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar 1 1/2 oz. Vodka 1 1/2 oz. Triple Sec 1 1/2 oz. Rum Wash and hull strawberries toss them with sugar, put in bowl and pour over Vodka, Triple Sec and rum and chill. |
