PEPPERONI CALZONES
 

PIZZA DOUGH:

1 pkg. dry yeast
1 c. warm water
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. salt
3 - 3 1/4 c. flour

PIZZA SAUCE:

Sliced pepperoni
2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
1 egg, beaten

Dissolve yeast in warm water; stir in sugar, oil, salt and 1 cup of the flour. Beat until smooth. Mix in enough flour to handle easily. Knead until smooth, about 5 minutes. Place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise until double, about 30 minutes. Punch dough down; divide into 6 equal parts. Roll each part into 7" circle. Spread pizza sauce over half of each circle, top with pepperoni and mozzarella. Fold dough over filling, pinch edges to seal. Place on greased cookie sheet; let rest 15 minutes. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Brush with egg. Bake about 25 minutes.
