BEST EVER CHILI SAUCE FOR HOT DOGS
 

1 pkg. chili mix (family style)
2 lb. lean ground beef
1 (15 to 16 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 cans water
1 lg. onion, finely diced

Brown ground beef and onions and drain well. Combine meat and onions with spices from mix in a large heavy pot. Add tomato sauce and water and simmer very slowly, covered for 30 minutes. Add masa as directed on package and cook another 10 minutes.

Serve over hot dogs and top with grated Longhorn cheese. Freeze in small containers for quick lunches or snacks.
