2 c. ketchup 1/4 lb. unsalted butter (1/2 stick) 1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp. garlic, chopped fine 1/2 c. dark brown sugar, firmly packed 1 lemon, halved & seeded Salt, to taste Freshly ground black pepper, to taste Hot sauce to taste 1 tsp. fresh ginger root, minced Combine all ingredients in a medium-size saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes. Set aside until time to apply sauce to the grill meats. |
