BOLOGNESE SAUCE
 

1/2 c. sliced carrots
1/2 c. sliced onion, chopped
1 sm. can sliced black olives
1 sm. can sliced mushrooms
1 1/2 c. gr. beef
2/3 c. butter
1 1/2 c. stock or bouillon
1/4 c. white wine
3 tbsp. tomato paste
1/2 c. heavy cream garlic powder

In large saucepan melt butter. Add carrots and onion sautee until half cooked. Add garlic powder and ground beef, brown and add olives mushrooms, tomato paste, stock and white wine. Simmer 1 hour. Remove from heat and add heavy cream. Serve over pasta.

GARLIC BREAD:

1 loaf Italian bread
1 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
Butter and garlic powder

Slice loaf of bread in half. Spread butter, garlic and cheese. Fold together like a sandwich. Cover with foil. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
