HOMEMADE ICE CREAM
 

6 eggs
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 can Eagle brand milk
1 qt. whipping cream
3 to 4 tsp. imitation vanilla
Pinch salt
1/2 gal. whole milk

Beat eggs with electric mixer until well blended. Add sugar and salt slowly. Continue to mix and add Eagle Brand milk and whipping cream then add vanilla and milk. Can set in refrigerator or freeze immediately.

If set in refrigerator be sure to stir well before beginning to freeze, usually takes 1 1/2 bags of ice with freezer salt in homemade ice cream maker. Makes 6 quart or 1 1/2 gallon.
