1/2 c. shortening 1 c. honey 1 egg 1 1/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 2/3 c. oatmeal 4 tbsp. sour milk 1/2 c. chopped peanuts 1 c. raisins Cream shortening; blend in honey. Add egg and stir. Sift together all dry ingredients and oatmeal. Alternately add milk and dry ingredients to shortening mixture. Stir in nuts and raisins. Drop by a spoonful onto a cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Yield: 3 dozen. |
