CROCK POT BARBECUE
 

2 1/2 to 3 lb. chuck roast
1 lg. onion, chopped
1/2 c. diced celery
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. brown sugar
4 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. ketchup
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
Salt and pepper to taste
A little prepared mustard and Tabasco sauce

Remove large pieces of fat from meat. Place roast in crock pot with onions and celery on top. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat. Cover and cook on low heat 10 to 14 hours or on high heat for 5 to 6 hours. Remove meat and shred it with 2 forks. Return meat to sauce. Serve on hamburger buns. Make 15 to 18 sandwiches and freezes well.

May be cooked in oven. Prepare as above and add 1 1/2 cups of water. Cover pan and leave in 350 degree oven until tender.
