1/4 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. finely chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in flour, vanilla, and salt. Stir in nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets and make a thumb print on each cookie before putting them into the oven. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. After cookies have baked and cooled, fill with your favorite butter-cream frosting. Makes 3 dozen.
