1 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. soda 1 c. oil 1 c. milk 2 tsp. baking powder 1 c. shortening Cinnamon (sprinkle) Cream butter, shortening, and sugar; add oil and milk (mixed with soda). Add baking powder and about 8 cups of flour to make nice soft dough to work with. Shape into small balls of dough. Then flatten; looks like small footballs. Bake at 350 degrees until brown, about 20 minutes. Cool on paper towel. SYRUP: Boil to syrup: 1 1/2 c. water 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 c. honey Dip cookies in syrup. May also be topped with ground nuts. |
