PEANUT BUTTER BARS WITH FROSTING
 

BARS:

1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. peanut butter, crunchy or creamy
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 c. regular oats
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugars, butter, peanut butter, and egg. Stir in flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Spread in greased cake pan. Bake until golden brown. Approximately 20 minutes. Cool.

FROSTING:

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. peanut butter
2 to 3 tbsp. milk
3 tbsp. cocoa

Mix powder sugar, peanut butter and milk (add 1/2 teaspoon additional milk as needed for creamy consistency). Save 1/3 cup mixture; then add cocoa to remaining mixture. Drop reserved mixture onto spread cocoa frosting then swirl.
