CHOCOLATE CARAMEL MELT - A - WAYS
 

1 pkg. (14 oz.) Kraft Caramels
1/3 c. milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. butter, melted
1/3 c. milk
1 c. nuts, chopped
1pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips

In a double boiler, melt the caramels with the milk. Combine the cake mix, butter, milk and nuts, mixing well. Spread 1/2 of the cake batter in a 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Remove and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Spread caramel mixture OVER chips. Top with remaining cake batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Let cool 30 minutes before cutting into bars. Makes 4 dozen bars.
