5 1/2 tbsp. butter or Crisco
1/2 c. honey
1 egg, well beaten
1 1/4 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
3/4 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Cream shortening and honey until fluffy. Add egg and mix well. Add vanilla. Sift flour, salt and soda. Beat into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake 375 degree oven about 10 minutes.
