CHOCOLATE CARAMEL BARS
 

1 pkg. German chocolate mix (Betty Crocker with pudding)
1/2 c. softened butter
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1 egg
1/2 c. cream
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. butter

GLAZE: 1/2 cup creamy deluxe chocolate ready to spread frosting. Add water by the teaspoon until reach consistency.

Mix cake mix, soft butter, egg. Reserve 1 1/2 cups. Press remaining in 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Heat butter, milk, caramel on low heat until caramels melt. Pour over crust and sprinkle nuts and rest of mixture. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Drizzle glaze. Loosen edges and refrigerate one hour. Cut into bars.

NOTE: Makes 36 bars.
