Cream together: 1/2 c. shortening 1 egg 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 (3 oz.) box Jello (any flavor)

Add: 2 tbsp. milk 2 1/2 c. flour 3/4 tsp. salt

Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with the bottom of glass which has been dipped in sugar. Bake 400 degrees about 12 minutes. Yields 5 1/2 dozen.
