2 1/2 lb. ground beef, pork & veal combined
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 eggs, beaten slightly

Combine above ingredients thoroughly. Shape into meatballs approximately 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Bake in 400 degree oven about 15 minutes, turning once, until brown on all sides. Meanwhile make sauce. Can be served over rice, on submarine rolls with cheese or as an hors d'oeuvres.

SPICY SAUCE:

1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 c. catsup
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. pickle relish
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. ground pepper
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. vinegar

Combine ingredients in 3 quart saucepan; simmer over low heat about an hour, stirring occasionally. Add meatballs and keep hot until serving time or cool quickly to be served later.
