CURRY BEEF TURNOVERS
 

1 tbsp. oil
1 med. onion, chopped fine
1/2 lb. ground round
1 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. curry powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. chopped scallions
Pepper to taste
1 egg yolk, beaten
1 pkg. frozen patty shells
Sesame seeds

Heat oil in frying pan and stir-fry onions until translucent; add ground beef and cook until beef is no longer pink. Add soy sauce, curry powder, sugar, salt, scallions and pepper. Mix thoroughly and let cool.

Let frozen patty shells thaw. Cut each patty shell in 2 pieces and roll with a rolling pin into round circles on floured wax paper. Place 1 1/2 tablespoons of meat filling on each. Fold half of dough over to form a half moon shape. Pinch edges closed with tip of fork. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 425 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 12 turnovers.
