Work the lard ... you one double crust pie and a single ... do not discard the beans (store them in a jar). They can be saved and reused over and over.
Cut shortening into ... dough will keep indefinitely in the refrigerator. Makes four 9 inch single crusts deep dish or two 9 inch double crusts deep dish.

Above = 1 crust; double the ingredients for a 2 crust pie. Bake at 425 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.
Put in blender ... greased 10 inch pie pan. Bake at ... until brown. Middle will appear rather soft. If you bake too long, you will have more of a cake.
