Cream shortening, sift ... and use as desired. This is my own personal recipe and I have found it enough to ice and decorate an average 1 mix size cake.

This icing may be used as regular cake icing and also for decorating.

Beat for 5 minutes. Store airtight in the refrigerator. Keeps for months. If you want chocolate (or brown) frosting, add cocoa to taste.

Mix this up and beat about 7 minutes until light and fluffy. Keep unused portions covered with WET paper towels so it won't get dried out.

NOTE: 1 lb. confectioners sugar = ... Beat egg whites and Crisco. Add flour, salt, vanilla, and confectioners sugar. Yields frosting for 2 (9x13) cakes.

Cream all ingredients ... best type of icing for decorating cakes. To thin ... container (Tupperware) in the refrigerator. Whip up before using the second time.

Mix all ingredients and beat at medium speed for 15 minutes.

Sift sugar and salt in bowl. Mix shortening in, then add rest of ingredients.

Mix well. Add: 3/4 c. water Beat well for about 10 minutes. Freezes well.

Mix at medium speed 3 minutes and high speed 5 minutes.
