PEACH BANANA TWIST COBBLER
 

Fruit ingredients:

3 large peaches
1 medium banana
3/4 cup sugar

Dry ingredients:

1/3 cup rye flour
1/3 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup white flour
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup walnuts or almonds chopped

Wet ingredients:

1 cup milk
1/2 cup veg. oil
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg or cinnamon.

Prepare fruit ingredients first by peeling and slicing into small pieces the bananas and peaches; add sugar, mix and let sit while preparing other ingredients.

Mix wet ingredients first, add baking powder last to this mixture and blend with fork first.

When baking powder becomes foamy, continue to mix with fork till blended thoroughly in wet ingredients.

Add dry ingredients, ingredient by ingredient to wet ingredients stirring occasionally.

More flour can be added to mixture to get desired texture before placing in a buttered 9x13 inch glass pan.

Preheat oven to 350°F. (10 minutes for preheat).

Spread batter on bottom of pan, making sure batter fills bottom of pan equally. Evenly spread fruit mixture over batter and place in preheated oven.

Cook for 45 to 55 minutes.
