1/2 c. butter, softened 1 c. sugar 1 egg, beaten 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 3/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 tsp. anise seeds, crushed Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; stir in egg and vanilla. Add remaining ingredients, mixing well. Roll dough into 1 inch balls; place on lightly greased baking sheets. Press each ball with tines of a fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 3 dozen. |
