1 pkg. 2 layer (pudding type) yellow cake mix
1/4 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. cooled strong brewed coffee
1 egg
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi sweet chocolate bits
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

In mixer bowl combine cake mix, butter, coffee and egg. Beat until smooth. Stir in chocolate bits and walnuts. Drop from well rounded teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. Let stand a few seconds before removing from pan. 5 dozen cookies.
