BANANA FRITTERS
 

3 bananas
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
1/3 c. milk
6 measuring tbsp. flour
1 egg, beaten slightly
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. lemon juice
Grate of nutmeg

Crush bananas to a cream. Mix together flour, baking powder, sugar and nutmeg. Add alternately with milk and lemon juice to crushed bananas. Lastly, add beaten egg. Drop by tablespoon into deep fat. Fry just as you would pancakes. Drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with sugar. Keep warm and serve with slices of lemon.
