CANNED APPLE PIE FILLING
 

8 c. water
3/4 c. cornstarch
4 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt

Cook until thick. Add 3 tablespoons lemon juice or real lemon. Peel and slice apples to fill 7 quart sterilized jars. Pour filling over apples, seal and process in water bath for 20 minutes after water starts boiling. Good way to use your culled apples and is very good.
