1 c. sugar
1/2 stick butter
1 egg, beaten
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. diced apples
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 tsp. salt

mix together sugar and butter; add egg. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and cinnamon. Fold in apples, nuts and salt. Bake in greased pie pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serve with ice cream of whipping cream.
