LIGHT SOUTHERN PECAN PIE
 

1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed firmly
1 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 (9 inch) pie crust

Cream brown sugar and butter. Blend in syrup and vanilla. Add eggs and pecans. Pour into unbaked pie crust. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake 25 minutes longer.
