NEW ENGLAND BOILED DINNER
 

Ham or corn beef
5 lg. potatoes
5 lg. carrots
1 lg. yellow turnip
3 lg. onions
1 lg. cabbage
Pepper

Put all ingredients in large pot, except cabbage. Vegetables may be cut or whole. Add water and pepper to taste. Bring to boil, then simmer with lid covering pot. Add cabbage when potatoes are slightly firm. Cook another 30 minutes until cabbage is ready. Look for New England B.D. soup recipe to use leftovers (very economical).
