1 1/2 c. corn meal
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. melted shortening
2 tsp. salt (or to taste)
3 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. milk
25 hot dogs

Rinse hot dogs in hot water, dip them in this batter and fry in hot grease until they are golden brown.
