Mix beef, pork sausage, bread crumbs, milk, egg, onion, 1/2 teaspoon salt, the nutmeg and pepper in food processor. Shape into 1 inch balls. (For easy shaping, dip hands into cold water from time to time.) Place meatballs in ungreased jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch, or 2 rectangular pans, 13 x 9 x 2 inches. Cook uncovered in 350 degree oven until light brown, about 20 minutes.
Remove meatballs to serving dish, keep warm. Place 3 tablespoons pan drippings of shortening in saucepan, stir in flour. Pour gravy over meatballs, sprinkle with parsley. Serve with hot cooked noodles or mashed potatoes. 6-8 servings about (48 meatballs). I double the gravy portion.
