HAMBURGER SUPREME

1 lb. ground beef, shaped into patties
1 sm. onion, sliced & separated into rings
1 sm. (4 oz.) can mushrooms, stem & pieces, undrained
1 cube beef bouillon
1/2 c. water
4 slices Monterey Jack cheese

In large skillet, brown hamburgers over medium heat, about 5 minutes each side. Remove hamburgers and drain fat from pan.

In same skillet combine onion, mushrooms, bouillon and water. Bring to a boil; continue to boil until bouillon cube dissolves. Add hamburger. Lower heat and simmer, covered, for 15-20 minutes (or until hamburgers are no longer pink), turning occasionally. Spoon some of the onions and mushrooms on each hamburger.

Place a piece of cheese on each hamburger and simmer until cheese has melted. Top with additional mushrooms and onions. Yield 4 servings.
