HOMEMADE ICE CREAM CHOCOLATE CHIP
 

4 eggs
2 1/4 c. sugar
5 c. milk
4 c. heavy cream
4 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. grated chopped semi-sweet chocolate

Add sugar gradually to beaten eggs. Continue to beat until mixture is very stiff. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into gallon freezer and freeze as directed. You add chopped chocolate chips after freezing about 15 minutes. Continue freezing until ready.
