CHOCOLATE ICE BOX DESSERT
 

2 bars German chocolate
1 1/2 tbsp. hot water
4 eggs (separated)
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. whipped cream
1 (9 oz.) pkg. vanilla wafers

Blend water and chocolate in double boiler. Remove from heat and immediately add egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Add chopped pecans and whipped cream. Cover bottom of square dish with layers of vanilla wafers. Then add layer of chocolate mixture. Alternate layers, ending with chocolate. Chill for at least 4 hours. Sprinkle with pecans. Serves 12.
