CHEWY CHOCOLATE COOKIES
 

1 1/4 c. butter, soft
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. (12 oz.) Reese's peanut butter chips or 2 c. Hershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixer bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, bakign soda and salt; gradually blend into creamed mixture. Stir in peanut butter or chocolate chips.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 9 minutes. Do not overbake, cookies will be soft. They will puff while baking and flatten while cooling. Cool slightly, remove from cookie sheet onto wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
