1 1/4 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 1/4 tsp.vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. roasted chopped hazelnuts
Beat in eggs and vanilla. In separate bowl, combine flours, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Gradually blend into creamed mixture. Stir in hazelnuts.
Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 8-9 minutes (do not over bake - cookies will be soft). Cool slightly before removing from sheet. Yields: 4 dozen cookies.
