CHICKEN/TACO CASSEROLE
 

3 to 3 1/2 lbs. chicken breasts
1/4 stick butter
1 can taco sauce
2 cans sliced water chestnuts
12 oz. Velveeta cheese
1 lg. onion
1 can chopped mild chili peppers
3 cans cream of chicken soup (optional)
1 lg. bag taco flavored Doritos

Boil the chicken breasts until tender. Take skin from chicken and debone it and then cut in cubes. Saute the onions in the butter until tender. Put all ingredients, except chicken, Doritos, and cheese in a pan and warm. In large casserole dish, put layer of Doritos; top with a layer of chicken and part of the sauce. Repeat several times. Top with grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Do not overheat.
