I make this in a crock pot, but it can be made in a double boiler. If you, or someone you know, likes creamy rice pudding, make this. 1/2 gallon milk; skim, whole, or anything in between 1 c. raw rice 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt Place all the ingredients in the crock pot. Cook on high until it simmers, stirring once in a while. When the rice no longer sinks as you stir, it is done, about 2 hours. Add 2 teaspoons of vanilla and stir. Pour into a dish and cover the top with cinnamon. Chill. |
