1 1/2 block butter 4 tbsp. sugar 1 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. chopped nuts For crust, cream butter and sugar. Add flour and nuts. Press lightly into 9 x 12 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. HAUPIA LAYER: 2 (12 oz.) cans coconut milk 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. water 7 tbsp. cornstarch, mixed with 1/2 c. water Cook thawed coconut milk, sugar and water. Add cornstarch mixture to coconut mixture; cook until comes to a boil. Cool and pour over cooled baked crust. Top with Cool Whip and sprinkle with coconut flakes. Do not use metal spoon to mix. |
