4 c. corn flakes, crushed 1/4 c. sugar 1/3 c. butter, softened 2 tbsp. finely chopped nuts FILLING: 1/2 c. butter 1 c. sifted powdered sugar 2 sqs. unsweetened chocolate, melted 1 tsp. vanilla 3 eggs Crush corn flakes; add 1/3 cup butter, sugar, and nuts. Mix well. Reserve 1/2 of crumb mix. Press rest into 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan evenly and chill. Measure 1/2 cup butter and powdered sugar into mixer bowl; mix on low until combined. Add cooled, melted chocolate and vanilla; mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating about 5 minutes after each one. Spread evenly over crust. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Chill several hours. Cut into 12 squares. |
