Mix chopped apples and 3/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Mix well. Roll out biscuits to 6-inch circles and place 1/2 cup apple mixture on each and pinch up from 4 sides. Place in 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
Combine butter, water and 1 cup sugar in saucepan. Heat to boiling (and sugar is dissolved). Pour liquid around apple dumplings. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until brown.
