BARBECUED APPETIZER MEATBALLS
 

3 lbs. ground beef
2 c. quick oats, uncooked
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
2 c. finely chopped onion
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
4 c. catsup
3 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. liquid smoke
1 tsp. garlic powder

Combine ground beef, oats, eggs, milk, 1 cup onion, chili powder, salt, pepper and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, mixing lightly. Shape into balls the size of a walnut. Place meatballs into two 13x9 baking dishes.

Combine catsup, brown sugar, 1 cup onion, liquid smoke and 1 teaspoon garlic powder, stirring until smooth. Pour evenly over meatballs and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.

To serve: Transfer to a chafing dish. Makes about 100 meatballs.
